When I was a young girl, my neighborhood had Book Mobiles during the summer.  This little caravan of books on wheels would come every Monday.  My sisters and I would walk down the block and spend hours reading and choosing a variety of books to borrow and then return them the following Monday.  There are only a few weeks of school left and my mom friends were talking about making a Little Free Library in our neighborhood.  I went to a college Science Night for the kids and the Architecture department had many incredible designs of mini tree house libraries to hold these mini libraries.  It's a great way to keep the kids reading during the summer.  No need to drive to the library and borrow books for a certain amount of time and get charged late fees.  It would be just like my childhood book mobile! Here is a great story on a Little Free Library at the zoo.
