Peer-to-peer renting has been noticed.  Rachel Botsman has authored a book on the subject and cites this as a $26 Billion dollar market. The Economist says what we already knew: that the “model works for items that are expensive to buy and are widely owned by people who do not make full use of them”.  So, what does this have to do with Rent a Life?  Well, we support renting.  We support all kinds of renting, including the kind available at rental businesses.  Our website launch will begin with Weddings and this means paying attention to new developments in renting, as it applies to weddings.

Maybe it was obvious all along.  But too many wedding gowns are worn once (many, anyway) -- and then stored in plastic, traveling to all the places called home.  Why not rent out the dress?  Make a little money back on the wedding, while keeping the dress.  Rent a Life will join the peer-to-peer rental movement with wedding dresses.

Just go to the Profile Page and upload pictures, measurements and contact information.  We’ll get you into the Gowns section.  You do the rest.
